The Print Server Migration from the old servers to the new servers is largely complete. Any pending print jobs on the old server as of this morning will need to be re-resent to the new server in order to be released.
Please see the below instructions for next steps for tomorrow:
School Owned Windows Devices
All printers that were configured to print to the old print server should be removed automatically as part of this upgrade process.
As of now, you should start to notice:
A new "Follow Me Printing on printserver" in your Windows printer options when you go to print.
You should no longer see or use the "Follow Me Printing on HCSSERVER02".
By now, if you do not have the ability to print from your Windows device you should:
Email: helpdesk@hendersoncollegiate.org with your asset tag (blue tag on the bottom of the computer that starts with HCS).
Include your phone # and window of availability to manually configure the new print system.
Keep an eye on your email or texts.
School Owned Apple Mac Devices
All printers that were configured to print to the old print server should be removed automatically as part of this upgrade process.
As of now, you should start to notice:
A new "Follow Me MacOS on printserver" in your MAc printer options when you go to print.
You should no longer see or use the "Follow Me LPD on HCSSERVER02".
By now, if you do not have the ability to print from your MacOS device you should:
Try rebooting your Mac.
Email: helpdesk@hendersoncollegiate.org with your asset tag (blue tag on the bottom of the computer that starts with HCS).
Include your phone # and window of availability to manually configure the new print system.
Keep an eye on your email or texts.
BYOD Devices
You will need to download one of the following clients and install it on your device:
After installing you will notice a new "Follow Me" in your printer options when you go to print.
You should no longer see or use / delete the "Follow Me" that references HCSSERVER02".

Starting at 8:30 am tomorrow (gradual rollout) you should start to notice:
A new "Follow Me Printing on printserver" in your Windows printer options when you go to print.
You should no longer see or use the "Follow Me Printing on HCSSERVER02".
By 11am, if you do not have the ability to print from your Windows device you should:
Email: helpdesk@hendersoncollegiate.org with your asset tag (blue tag on the bottom of the computer that starts with HCS).
Include your phone # and window of availability to manually configure the new print system.
Keep an eye on your email or texts.
All Apple Mac Devices
Printing is not yet fully enabled.
Please use your school owned Windows device or ask someone who has a Windows device to print for you.
Additional emails will be sent out from the status page (status.hendersoncollegiate.org) and from the email systemstatus@hendersoncollegiate.org.

As part of the new server hardware deployment project we will be migrating PaperCut and the Print Servers to the new hardware.
The primary outage will occur on October 16th during the teacher workdays.
During this time no one will be able to print while we make this transition.Staff are encouraged to test printing when service is restored on October 17th before leaving for the day to ensure any printing over the weekend or Monday morning is successful.
Staff who may need to print for October 16th or October 17th are encouraged to print before end of day on October 15th.
