    Summary MCNC will be conducting emergency maintenance to apply a critical security patch (CVE-2026-0265) to our Palo Alto firewalls. This patch addresses a high-severity vulnerability related to VPN authentication bypass.

    User Impact * Internet Connectivity: Users will experience a temporary disruption to internet routing lasting up to 30 minutes.

    • VPN Services: Remote access VPNs will be unavailable during the specific upgrade window for your site.

    Timeline While the full maintenance window is reserved until 5:00 AM, the majority of upgrades are expected to be completed before midnight. We do not anticipate more than 30 minutes of downtime per individual site.
